Definitely one of my favorite little moments.

I love how Ranma wants to say thanks to Shinnosuke because he saved Akane when she was a child, when he didn’t even know her… so this is the extent of how much Ranma cares about her. You can see the sincerity in his expression and how he is taking this like a man to man talk.

Finally, he feels empathy for Shinnosuke, somehow knowing the way the other boy is feeling.
